Chen Xiguang enjoys a reputable title “Urban No.1”. His artwork has distinct characteristics and art language. In his urban works,colors and ink are blended; light and shadow are blurred. His folk customs depiction and landscape painting are also fascinating.

In 2012, his Safron （133*70cm）was sold for RMB268,800 IN Henan HSBC auction. In 2013 his Morning Horn was sold for RMB460,000 in Beijing Hanhai auction. His Love Song 1937 was sold for RMB1.15million in 1st Art Auction of Anhui Xide Auction Co., Ltd. in spring of 2015. Instruments Gathering broke through 10million in this auction, making a new record in art auction of artists.
